Wake windows are the amount of time baby is able to be awake before going back to sleep. Wake windows increase as baby gets older. Understanding your baby's wake windows is helpful for preventing overtiredness and crankiness.

Please keep in mind that these are general guidelines. Babies vary and it's important to watch their sleepy cues as well (rubbing eyes, yawning, crankiness: different for each baby).

If baby has taken a short nap their next wake window may be shorter.

I do not recommend following wake windows before the 2-month mark.
