I’m a Toronto-based New Parent Educator, Pediatric Sleep Consultant, Postpartum Doula and mom of two.
My transition into motherhood wasn’t what I expected. Alongside the joy, I felt overwhelmed, exhausted, and alone. As I moved through that experience, I discovered a deep passion for supporting parents through early parenthood.
In 2019, I trained as a New Parent Educator and later became a certified Pediatric Sleep Consultant and Postpartum Doula. My approach blends education, sleep support, and the doula model, and I also train other educators to support families.
I support families in Toronto, across the GTA, and virtually worldwide through expecting parent courses, newborn care support, and pediatric sleep consulting. I use a judgment-free, evidence-based approach to help families create personalized goals so you can feel calm, confident, and supported throughout early parenthood.
Hi, I’m Jaquie Dason,
My Approach
My approach is grounded in supporting the whole family through early parenthood. I combine evidence-based sleep education, emotional support, and practical guidance to help parents feel more confident and connected in their day-to-day life with their baby.
Secure Attachment
I support and encourage secure attachment between parent and child by helping you better understand your baby’s cues, needs, and developmental stage. My goal is to strengthen connection while also supporting healthy sleep and daily rhythms in a way that feels responsive and sustainable.
Judgment-Free Support
Every family is different. I meet parents exactly where they are, without judgment, and respect your values, goals, and decision-making. Whether you are following a structured approach or a more flexible one, I provide guidance that supports autonomy and confidence in your parenting choices.
Doula-Informed Model
My work is influenced by the doula model, which focuses on continuous emotional support, education, and practical guidance. I aim to reduce overwhelm by helping you understand what is normal, what to expect, and what options are available so you can make informed decisions during early parenthood.
Parent–Child Dyad
I support both baby and parent as one connected system. When parents feel supported, rested, and confident, babies benefit too. My approach considers both sides of the relationship, focusing on the wellbeing of the parent-child dyad rather than treating sleep or behaviour in isolation.
